Hi, we are Ryan and Dakota Redford, your innkeepers. We have four boys and have lived in Hamilton Missouri since 2017. We previously enjoyed living in the Rocky Mountains of Utah. We enjoy Lego, board games, puzzles, swimming, our little farm, lots of sports (FOOTBALL!!) These boys keep us young, at least I keep telling myself that!!

In May of 2015 my cousin Meg approached me about a beautiful house that would be perfect for a Bed & Breakfast. When Ryan and I saw the pictures and heard the stories of this wonderful town, we agreed it was a great idea! The first time I pulled into the driveway, I was giddy, and a little emotional. No words can explain the love, peace and joy I felt. I knew I needed this beautiful home in my life!

We purchased and furnished the home and began the Bed & Breakfast that October. For nearly 2 years, Meg ran the day to day of the business and I commuted once a month from Utah to assist.  Each time I came out, I fell more in love with the place and the peace I felt here. Then, we decided this would also be a great place to raise the boys. We moved to our Home in Hamilton, Missouri, June 2017.

Not long after arriving in Hamilton we also purchased and renovated the old motel in town. We added on, creating enough sleeping space for 60 guests! Then in the summer of 2018 we had another BIG announcement- The World's Largest Spool of Thread was erected here in Hamilton. Our family spent hours wrapping the first ONE MILLION YARDS of Aurifil thread. WOW!! The spool was the first exhibit at the Missouri Quilt Museum complex.

In September 2019 the doors of the Missouri Quilt Museum opened to the public for the first time. Just 3,000 square feet of exhibits amazed visitors. Just 6 months later, we closed due to COVID-19. We used the down time to renovate the remainder of the over 100 year old building and reopened in May of 2021 with over 30,000 square feet of exhibit space!

In October 2021 we closed the Bed & Breakfast, but continue to operate the Vacation Rental houses on the property. Reservations for those units can be made on AirBnb and VRBO.

​

We hope you feel just at home here as we do! Relax near the pond, take a serene walk around the property, enjoy breakfast on the expansive deck, or curl up in my favorite spot near one of the many fireplaces with a cup of hot chocolate!
